Title:
TOMBSTONE AND EPITAPH PLATE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001182380
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To enable a descendant to indicate the death date of a person even if the sales company of his tombstone is not existing since the death date can not be shown at the death although he can install a tombstone with a posthumous Buddist name during his lifetime and enable enlargement of a selection range so as to cope with the variation of the world.

A posthumous Buddist name is recorded by etching on a stainless steel tombstone and is laterally indicated together with a death date on a detachable epitaph plate, especially, the death date is indicated in Arabic figures of A.D. A round hole with a shallow step is formed in the indication position and a flat plug in which figures are etched is driven therein to make it impossible to remove it. The tombstone epitaph plate is fastened with bolts to choose whether a descendant copes with it or the sales company copes with it. In a family combstone, every generation copes with the tombstone epitaph and adds insetting holes for the Arabic figure plate to solve the above problem.
