To provide toner that exhibits excellent transferability, sleeve ghost resistance, and cleanability.SOLUTION: Toner containing toner particles and silica particles A, the silica particles A being silica particles having a low density, is characterized in that the toner contains fatty acid metal salt B; the content Ca of the silica A in the toner is 1.0 pts. mass or more and 3.0 pts. mass or less based on 100 pts. mass of the toner particles; the fixing proportion Ka of the silica A in the toner is 50% or more and 90% or less; the content Cb of the fatty acid metal salt B in the toner is 0.10 pts. mass or more and 0.60 pts. mass or less based on 100 pts. mass of the toner particles; the fixing proportion Kb of the fatty acid metal salt B in the toner is 20% or more and 50% or less; the relational expression of the Ca, Ka, Cb, Kb satisfies a fixed relational expression; and the surface potential difference C when a rubbing test is performed using the silica A and the fatty acid metal salt B is -70 V or higher and +70 V or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: None
