To obtain a tool material for baking, capable of firmly bonding a parent material to a coated layer, increasing the hardness of the coated layer itself, slight in wear and peel of the coated layer, having the coated layer on a part or the whole part of the surface of the parent material.
A part or the whole part of the surface of a parent material containing ≥85wt.% of SiC is provided with a coated layer comprising ≥80wt.% of the total of one or more of Al2O3, MgO and ZrO2 as main components and 0.5-10.0wt.% of the total of one or more selected from Fe2O3, TiO2, BaO, SrO and CaO and SrO as additive components in which CaO and MgO are different from those used as a stabilizer for ZrO2 (the selection of the main components of the coated layer and the similar addition component is omitted).
