Abstract:
An apparatus for detecting a shape abnormality of a tool comprises: a shape abnormality calculation unit which calculates a shape abnormality of a tool; a camera which films an actual shape of the tool; a shape difference acquiring unit which acquires a shape difference between the shape abnormality of the tool calculated from the shape abnormality calculation unit and the actual shape of the tool filmed by the camera from a plurality of spots on the tool; a moving average value acquiring unit which acquires a moving average value of the plurality of shape differences acquired from the shape difference acquiring unit from the plurality of spots of the tool; a moving average value variation acquiring unit which acquires a variation of a plurality of moving average values acquired from the moving average value acquiring unit from the plurality of spots of the tool; and a foreign substance attachment determining unit which determines whether foreign substances are attached on the tool according to the variation acquired from the moving average value variation acquiring unit. The present invention can detect a shape abnormality of a tool, such as detecting foreign substances such as cutting powder or dust attached to the tool.
