Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal continuously variable transmission including a post light in weight and strong enough to resist a load in a disc axial direction.SOLUTION: A post 100 is provided between an input-side disc 2 and an integral output-side disc 3A and includes a post body 101 positioning the integral output-side disc 3A in an axial direction and a spherical post 102 provided separately from the post body 101 and rockably supporting a yoke. The post body 101 can be, therefore, freely deformed to be strong enough to resist the load. It is, therefore, possible to make the post 100 light in weight and high in strength by forming the post body 101 and the spherical post 102 out of a lightweight material such as aluminum.
