To provide a total enthalpy heat exchange element having excellent total enthalpy heat exchange efficiency and formed in a compact shape with rather small width and height by a simple structure and a total enthalpy heat exchanger having excellent total enthalpy heat exchange efficiency and formed in a compact shape.
This total enthalpy heat exchange element is so formed that a first air a1 and a second air a2 are circulated in a first flow passage 21 and a second flow passage 22 partitioned by a total enthalpy heat exchange membrane 1 to perform total enthalpy heat exchange. The total enthalpy heat exchange membrane 1 comprises bent or curved parts 1B continued to each other from one end to the other end. The first flow passage 21 and a second flow passage 22 allow the first air and the second air to flow therein along the continued direction of the bent or curved parts 1B. Also, the total enthalpy heat exchange membrane 1 comprises the plurality of bent or curved parts 1B, and at least one of the bent or curved parts 1B is desirably bent to the opposite side of any of the other bent or curved parts 1B.
