To provide a transfer device having the function of supplying commodities from a carrying belt 12 to a carrying belt 42 one by one at constant time intervals.

The transfer device comprises an umbrella shaped turntable 21 provided in such a manner that a table portion certainly distant from the axial center of a rotating shaft 23 passes through a terminal end position of the carrying belt 12 and a terminal end position of the carrying belt 42, an evacuating cup 22 provided at an equal space from the table portion certainly distant therefrom for sucking and holding one of the closest commodities in the operated condition, and a driving mechanism to be operated in synchronization with the rotation of the turntable 21 for putting the evacuating cup 22 into the operated condition in the section from the terminal end position of the carrying belt 12 to the terminal end position of the carrying belt 42 and into the non-operated condition after the terminal end position of the carrying belt 42.
