To provide a transfer image forming apparatus which prevents vibration because of a cogging torque generated at a driving source of a feeding side roll from being transmitted to an image forming part through a transfer medium.
A one-way clutch 43 is fitted coaxially with a driving transmission gear 36 fitted in a driving shaft 33 for rotary driving a feeding side film roll 7 with a long transfer film 6 wound around. The one-way clutch 43 is set so as to idly rotate the driving transmission gear 36 not to transmit driving to the driving shaft 33 when rotating in a feeding direction of the transfer film 6, and so as to transmit driving to the driving shaft 33 from the driving transmission gear 36 when rotating in a winding direction of the transfer film 6.
