CONSTITUTION: Suction pipes 42 and 40 as grasping means to grasp the thread head 12a of one side feeding body 12 and the thread tail 12b of the other side feeding body 12, and a knotter 38 to connect the grasped both thread ends are provided, and the operating parts of the suction pipes 42 and 40 are arranged to position on the moving locus or near the moving locus of the thread ends of the feeding bodies 12 when the feeding bodies 12 are moved. By arranging in such a way, the grasping of the thread ends may be carried out when the thread ends approach to the operating parts of the suction pipes 42 and 40, and it is not necessary to move the suction pipes 42 and 40 to the thread ends to grasp the thread ends. As a result, the movement control and the movement mechanism of the suction pipes 42 and 40, and the like, for grasping the thread ends can be made unnecessary.
