To provide a transfer correction tape that has a high opacity to the back capable of eliminating the phenomenon side, that letters before correction can be seen through from the back side of the paper, and is inhibited the corrected part from seeming gray and the cut part from showing blackened color markedly.

This transfer correction tape 1 has the backing material layer 2 and the coated film layer 10 and the coated film layer is transferred to the surface of the substrate to hide the image on the substrate. The coated film layer 10 comprises the front side-opacifying layer 4 that is colored in an akin color to that of the substrate, the back side-opacifying layer 5 that is colored in an akin color to that of the image on the substrate, and the adhesive layer 6. The back side-opacifying layer 5 has a striped, meshed or spotted pattern and the letters before correction are only partially visible and difficult and impossible to make out. As the coloring agent can be reduced in its amount, the corrected part can be inhibited from seeming gray or the cut places can be prevent from developing the black color markedly.
