PURPOSE:To ensure lubrication so as to enhance the reliability of a transmission device for a full-time 4WD vehicle, by forming a storage chamber for a pinion gear and a side gear, in the casing of a differential gear unit so as to use it as an oil sump. CONSTITUTION:Both side walls 3c1'', 3c2'' of a differential gear casing 3c are arranged so that the boss parts of left and right side gears 3a, 3b are fitted therein, and a chamber C storing therein a pinion gear 3p and both side gears 3a, 3b is formed in the differential gear casing3c. Lubrication oil is fed into the chamber C which is therefore used as an oil sump. In this arrangement, lubrication oil is fed from a supply passage 39 through right front axle 8r and a differential casing sleeve 3c1' into the chamber C and is pooled in the latter. Accordingly, lubrication oil sticks to the inner surface of the differential casing 3c due to the rotation of the same so that a washer W is always lubricated. Accordingly, the lubrication is surely made, thereby it is possible to prevent seizure.
