Abstract:
PURPOSE: To insure no failure transmission whose message packet is not interrupted in an asynchronous transfer mode between subscribers in a communication network.
CONSTITUTION: The same message packet is transmitted from a connection controller CCU of a sending subscriber to at least two different transmission lines which have asynchronous transfer mode switching devices ASW1... and ASW2... or asynchronous transfer mode cross connectors ACC1... and ACC2... which are mutually separated before a 1st message packet is transmitted. The connection controller CCU of this receiving subscriber calculates the receiving time point to check message packets that are exchanged on different transmission paths and the difference of propagation time of the check message packets that are exchanged on the different transmission paths is compensated based on the receiving time point. The same message packets are separately transmitted on different transmission paths which have the devices ASW1... and ASW2... or ATM cross connectors ACC1... and ACC2... which are mutually separated between subscribers, and one of these message packets is separately outputted.
