Abstract:

To provide a transparent polymer film having a low optical anisotropy, and to provide a polarizing plate exhibiting enhanced mechanical strength and a liquid display device exhibiting enhanced display qualities using the film.

The transparent polymer film having the low optical anisotropy contains a polymer additive exhibiting optical anisotropy which is inclined to offset the oriented optical anisotropy of the polymer film. The polarizing plate and the liquid crystal display device are obtained by using the same.
