To provide a modifier for a cellulose acylate having actions of lowering optical anisotropy of the cellulose acylate film, and to provide a cellulose acylate film of low optical anisotropy by casting a cellulose acylate solution prepared by ordinary temperature dissolution method, a cooling dissolution method or a high-temperature high-pressure dissolution method using an organic solvent.

The cellulose composition comprises cellulose and a compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1-R5 are each a 1-12C substituent group; R6-R10 are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl group and are the same or different and may be linked together to form a ring; and n is a natural number of at most 12). The cellulose film is composed of the cellulose composition.
