A fork 37 and a cutter 49 are placed horizontally and, when a cord-like trash 35 is held by a bucket crane, it is inserted between the arm member 41 of the cutting device 15 of the cord-like trash 35 provided in the inner wall surface of a trash storage pit and a cutter 53 by the movement of the bucket crane. Then, by associatively rotating the fork 37 and the cutter 49, the cord-like trash 35 is wound on a pair of arm members 41 and then the rotations of the fork 37 and the cutter 49 are stopped. Then, by rotating only the cutter 49, the taken-up cord-like trash 35 is cut to a fixed length. This, the drooping of the cord-like trash 35 into the trash storage pit is prevented, and also entanglement of trash with a screw feeder is avoided.
