Abstract:
To purify the water contaminated by protozoans, especially Cryptosporidium.oocyst.
The contaminated water containing protozoans is treated by executing the addition treatment of a flocculant and separation treatment in order. In the addition treatment of the flocculant, magnetic body particles are added to the water containing the protozoans. The magnetic body particles added to the water stick to the protozoans and settle the protozoans. In the separation treatment, the protozoans settled in the water and condensed are magnetically separated from the water together with the magnetic body particles.
