To provide a new trifluorolactic acid ester compound suitable for an organic electrolyte material or ionic conductor of a sensor an alkaline ion battery, etc., a method for producing the compound, a molecular aggregate containing the compound as the constitution unit and a method for constructing the aggregate.
The new trifluorolactic acid ester compound is expressed by general formula (1) or (2): (CF3-CH(OH)-COO)n-R and (CF3-*CH(OH)-COO)n-R (*C is asymmetric carbon atom; R is an n-valent hydrocarbon group having straight, branched or cyclic structure; and (n) is an integer of 2-6) and produced by reacting trifluorolactic acid, an optically active trifluorolactic acid or their derivative with a polyol having the group R as a residue. A porous structure suitable for ionic conductor of an alkaline ion battery, etc., can be formed by crystallizing the trifluorolactic acid ester compound.
