Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to surely remove the injection gate parts and flashes of a spherical body for forming a golf ball.
SOLUTION: This device has a lower mold 2 which has a spherical body insertion hole 1 and an upper mold 3 which pushes a spherical body 5 of a resin layer on the surface formed by injection molding into the spherical body insertion hole 1 of this lower mold 2. A annular blade part 4 of a triangular peak shape in section for cutting off the injection gate parts G and flashes on a parting line P of the spherical body 5 is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the spherical body insertion hole 1 of the lower mold 2. The bore side of the annular blade part 4 of the spherical body insertion hole 1 of the lower mold 2, defined as D1, the diameter of the spherical body 5, defined as d and the edge angle of the annular blade part 4, defined as θ, are set at -1.0 mm≤(D1-d)≤0.2 mm and at 30°≤θ≤120°.
