Title:
TUMOR IMAGING COMPOUND
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2009149678
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide novel amino acid compounds for use in detecting and evaluating brain and body tumors.

The amino acid compounds have a high specificity on the target site, when being in vivo administered, and for example, 2-amino-3-fluoro-2-methyl propane derivatives can be cited as preferable amino acid compounds, and the derivatives include a compound in which F of the derivatives is 18F. The invention further includes pharmaceutical compositions of an -amino acid moiety attached to any one of 4-, 5-, or 6-membered carbon rings. The labeled amino acid compounds are useful as an imaging agent in detecting and/or monitoring tumors in a subject by Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Single Photon Emission Computer Tomography (SPECT).
