This twisted yarn 10 comprises a luminous yarn 12 and a fluorescent yarn 14. The luminous yarn 12 has functions to absorb light such as natural light or ultraviolet rays, accumulate the light and then release the light by itself. The fluorescent yarn 14 has functions to emit light when irradiated with light such as ultraviolet rays. An antislip yarn 16 such as a spun yarn is arranged between the luminous yarn 12 and the fluorescent yarn 14 and the luminous yarn 12, fluorescent yarn 14 and the antislip yarn 16 are twisted in this state. When the twisted yarn 10 is exposed to light, the fluorescent yarn 14 is capable of receiving the light, emitting light and further receiving the light released from the luminous yarn 12 by itself and emitting light. Thereby, the light with a high light intensity is uniformly emitted from the whole twisted yarn 10 without unevenness.
