Title:
TWO-ELECTRODE HORIZONTAL FILLET GAS SHIELD ARC WELDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015089569
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-electrode horizontal fillet gas shield arc welding method which is good in melt collection between electrodes, is reduced in sputter generation rate and sputter adhesion amount to a steel plate and provides sound welded bead without undercut or overlap.SOLUTION: In a two-electrode horizontal fillet gas shield arc welding method, a solid wire for welding is used in the preceding electrode, and a flux-cored wire for welding is used in the subsequent electrode. Welding is carried out under the following conditions. The shield gas for the preceding electrode is an Ar-COmixed gas of a vol.% of Ar of 70-95, and the shield gas for the subsequent electrode is COgas of a vol.% of COof 100; the electrode gap distance between the preceding and subsequent electrodes is 10-40 mm; and the fire diameter of the preceding and subsequent electrodes is 1.2-2.0 mm, with the wire diameter of the preceding electrode being equal to or smaller than the wire diameter of the subsequent electrode.
