To provide an anchor bolt and a method for correcting the deformation thereof in which the workability can be improved by making it easier to set the anchor bolt on a template.
The U-shaped anchor bolt includes a U-shaped bolt body 2 having left and right axial portions 2b, 2b which extend from both ends of a bottom portion 2a so as to be bent upwardly and in which a screw thread is formed on the outer periphery of each of the portions 2b, 2b and a steel band 3 which is mounted to both the axial portions 2b, 2b to connect both the portions so that the interval between the portions can be adjusted to a predetermined dimension. In this case, since the interval between the axial portions can be kept by the band 3 at a dimension specified at the time of fabrication, when the U-shaped anchor bolt 1 is set on a template 4 at a construction site, the portions 2b, 25 can be easily inserted into mount holes of the template 4.
