Abstract:

To provide a method for shortening the inspection time for one CRT without increasing the number of lines and inspecting devices.

The following methods (1) to (3) are applied separately or in combination, (1) In a static characteristic test in an inspection process after a CRT is manufactured, all or part of pressure resistance tests such as an inter-electrode contact test and an insulation test are conducted concurrently with EWT measurement during an EWT test. (2) In a luminance drop test in an inspection process after the CRT is manufactured, part or all of R, G, B cathode electrodes are concurrently measured. (3) In EWT measurement in the inspection process after the CRT is manufactured, a heater is applied with the voltage steeply rising to about 5 V from 0 V, increasing to the maximum applied voltage of about 9 V in a parabolic shape, keeping the maximum applied voltage for a fixed period, then gradually reaching the prescribed set voltage.
