To provide an ultrasonic decomposition apparatus for efficiently decomposing an organic compound contained in the liquid to be treated.
The ultrasonic decomposition apparatus 5 is provided with: a decomposition tank 51 in which VOC-containing washing water W1 is put; a first ultrasonic vibrator 52 arranged on the outside of the bottom surface of the decomposition tank 51; and a second ultrasonic vibrator 53 arranged on the outside of the side face of the decomposition tank 51. An ultrasonic wave 10 of 400-500 kHz is transmitted from the first ultrasonic vibrator 52 toward the washing water W1 in the decomposition tank 51 from the bottom surface of the decomposition tank 51. The ultrasonic wave 10 of 400-500 kHz is transmitted from the second ultrasonic vibrator 53 toward the washing water W1 from the side face of the decomposition tank so that the ultrasonic wave from the second ultrasonic vibrator and the ultrasonic wave 10 from the bottom surface of the decomposition tank perpendicularly cross each other.
