Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a good picture by automatically adjusting at least one of the amplification degree of a reception circuit, dynamic range, and STC according to the diagnostic condition at the time of starting operation.
CONSTITUTION: An ultrasonic endoscope 1 inputs data such as the frequency, type of endoscope, vibrator focusing position or the like through an ultrasonic endoscope data reading circuit 7 of an ultrasonic observation device 2 to a picture quality adjustment state storage memory 4 before applying the power. It communicates with a host computer (database) 12 based on the data and receives the picture quality adjustment data corresponding to various kinds of symptoms and types of probe for the adjustment to the picture quality most suitable for the ultrasonic endoscope. A CPU 13 automatically adjusts the amplification degree of a reception signal processing circuit 3, dynamic range and STC based on the picture quality adjustment data. The ultrasonic endoscope 1 inputs an ultrasonic echo signal to a reception signal processing circuit 3 at the time of starting the operation and displays the ultrasonic picture on a TV monitor through the reception signal processing circuit 3, A/D converter 4, and DSC5.
