To provide an umbrella equipped with a drop receiver which receives drops falling from the umbrella which is wet with rain, and the drop receiver is automatically extended/contracted with opening/closing of the umbrella so as to be large or small.

An upper container 1 is arranged at the distal end of a metal rod 13 at the side of the ferrule 19 of the umbrella and a lower container 2 is at the distal end of a slid shaft 9 at the side of the ferrule 19, so as to receive the drops falling from the umbrella, which is wet with rain, by using a drop receiving container A including the two containers. An opened oblong hole 15 is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the metal rod 13, where a base seat 12 and a lower container support member 3 are slid. The slide shaft 9 and a spring 16 are arranged inside the metal rod 13. One end of the slide shaft 9 is connected to the lower container support member 3 and the other end is to the base seat 12. When the umbrella is opened/closed, the base seat 12 to contact a runner 10 is vertically slid, so as to raise/lower the lower container 2. Then the drop receiving container A is automatically made to be larger or smaller in the umbrella.
