Abstract:
To provide an underwater rope cutting machine capable of cutting a portion wherein a fiber rope is tangled under the water and capable of releasing the tangle in a short time.
Compressed air is supplied to a cylinder 1 from air supplying and delivering pipes 7 and 8, and a piston 9 is moved. A sliding plate 15 sliding accompanying the movement of the piston 9 slides on a supporting base 11 on which a cutout passage 12 for guiding the fiber rope is formed. A cutting blade 16 is attached on the sliding plate 15, and a blade receiving metal fitting 17 is provided on a position confronting the cutting blade 16 across the cutout passage 12.
