To provide a uniflow type two-stroke engine that controls swirl flow generated from a plurality of scavenging holes projected to the lower part of a cylinder, and improves scavenging efficiency to improve a fuel consumption rate.

A uniflow type two-stroke engine includes an exhaust valve 12 coaxially arranged to the upper part of a cylinder liner 11 with the cylinder liner 11 as a center, and a plurality of scavenging holes 13 projected to the lower part of the cylinder liner 11 along the circumferential direction of the cylinder liner 11. The scavenging holes 13 are formed along the circumferential direction of the cylinder liner 11 so that opening areas are different from each other, and thereby scavenging swirl flow flowing into the cylinder liner 11 is eccentric from the center of the cylinder liner 11.
