PURPOSE: To facilitate untwisting of sized thread with an ending device used enabling the sized thread to perform its ending by blowing a liquid component by a liquid supply means to a thread end, sucked into a nozzle, and melting starch of the sized thread so as to facilitate the untwisting.

CONSTITUTION: Sized threads YP, YB are cut by thread cutters 10, 13, and the sized thread YP, YB is sucked in its thread end respectively into untwisting nozzles 16, 17. Since a liquid supply means 21 opens its opening and closing valve 26 blowing a solution 22 in an atomized state with pressure air of a gas supply means 18 to the thread end of the sucked sized threads YP, YB, the thread end, melting its adhering starch, is untwisted. Next by controlling the opening and closing valve 26, the pressure air is supplied into the untwisting nozzles 16, 17 for the time being after blowing the solution 22, and the thread end is dried further sufficiently untwisted. The thread end of the untwisted sized threads YP, YB is drawn and arranged in an ending hole 9, performing ending by action of a flow of turning air. Thus using an ending device, the sized thread enables its ending to be performed.
