To provide a system for discharging used component tapes so that the tapes can be easily sorted and wasted after recovery.
For a used component tape to be discharged from a tape type component feeder 11, a discharge passage is switched with a switching lever 33, depending on the type of materials, i.e. made of paper or a resin. Components on a component tape 34 wound around a tape reel 12 are successively picked up for use, and then, a paper-made used main tape 29, a resin-made used main tape 31 and a resin-made used top tape 32 are each discharged into the inside or the outside of a component feeding stage 9 through a front discharge passage 27 or a rear discharge passage 28 of the tape type component feeder 11. Housing portions 35, 36 are arranged in vertical two stages on a component mounting apparatus 1 so as to be freely attached or detached. The paper-made used tape 29 is housed in the lower housing portion 35, and the resin-made used tapes 31, 32 are housed in the upper housing portion 36.
