To provide a component tape connection apparatus and a connection method for connecting new and old tapes without using an adhesive tape or an attachment, and to provide a component tape to be used therefor.

A finish end 10e of a component tape 10ol being used is trimmed with a start end 10s of a new component tape 10nw. A top tape 10b is turned up a little from a main tape 10a, and is loaded on the component tape connection apparatus 15. A forwarding hole 14 is fitted into latch gears 18-1, 18-2. Partition plates 21-1, 21-2 are interposed between the main tape 10a and the top tape 10b in the turning-up portion. The latch gears 18-1, 18-2 are rotated to cause the finish end 10e and the start end 10s of the both component tapes 10ol and 10nw to abut against each other and a lower main body 16 and an upper main body 17 are closed. A finish end 10e and a start end 10s of the main tape 10a are pressed by a lower heat-generating bar 19 to weld both the ends. A finish end 10e and a start end 10s of the top tape 10b are pressed by an upper heat-generating bar 22 to weld both the ends.
