Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the wedging force of a V-block into a V-grooved pulley to aim at enhancing the efficiency of transmission of power, by successively connecting a plurality of V-shape blocks in an endless arrangement with the use of links, so that the blocks are not made into contact with each other even when they turns around by a minimum winding radius. CONSTITUTION:Three links consisting of a center link coupled to a preceding V-shape block 8 and two side links coupled to a succeeding V-shape block 8 are journalled to a pivot shaft 11 which is laid across a through-hole 10 formed in each V-shape block 8. This coupling is made such that a gap 12 is defined between each adjacent blocks 8 in order to prevent the blocks from making into contact with each other at a position radially inward from the pivot shaft 11 when the blocks 8 turn around by a minimum radius which is expected to be taken by a pulley 2. With this arrangement, the blocks 8 may firmly wedge into the pulley 2, thereby power transmission may be enhanced.
