Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore damages and disappearance of one or more packets in related packet groups by utilizing one or more parity packets.
SOLUTION: The variable-length packet transmission method based on an FEC encoding method is provided with (a) a process to receive input of a data packet, when there is an input data packet to be transmitted and (b) a process to transmit the data packet, an offset which is a position inside a two-dimensional storage device of the data packet, a kind of the packet, and the parity packet by continuously storing and arranging the inputted data packet to the two-dimensional storage device having a specific storage width, by calculating the corresponding parity packet by executing the FEC encoding, and by arranging the calculated parity packet to the two-dimensional storage device.
