Abstract:
This variable valve device for an internal combustion engine is provided with: a variable mechanism that can be switched between a first state and a second state; and a fluid pressure control device for controlling the fluid pressure supplied to the variable mechanism. The fluid pressure control device is provided with a supply valve 12, a switching valve 13, and a control unit 100. When the variable mechanism is switched from the first state to the second state J2-2, the control unit switches from a state in which the supply valve is on and the switching valve is off to a state in which the supply valve is off and the switching valve is on.
