Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a sterilization method and a sterilization apparatus which are capable of highly reliably and efficiently performing a sterilization treatment on an object to be treated which is composed of a granular dry food. A sterilization method according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a moisturizing step for moisturizing an object to be treated which is composed of a granular dry food; and a sterilization step for sterilizing, with ozone, the object to be treated which has been subjected to the moisturizing step. In addition, a sterilization method according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a moisturizing step for moisturizing an object to be treated which is composed of a granular dry food; and a sterilization step for sterilizing the object to be treated which has been subjected to the moisturizing step, wherein the sterilization step is carried out by irradiating the surface of the object to be treated with ultraviolet light having a wavelength of 200 nm or less.
