PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable washing apparatus which can reduce a use amount of a cleaning fluid without damaging vegetable, and excellent in maintainability and sanitary property.SOLUTION: A vegetable washing apparatus comprises: a sterilization part 20; a first pipeline; a washing part 35; a second pipeline; a mesh-state conveyor 11; a base 50; and cover members 60. At least one of the first pipeline and the second pipeline comprises an external tube part arranged outside the conveyor, and a facing tube part which is detachably connected to the external tube part, faces the conveyor and extends in a width direction, and has a sterilization nozzle or a washing nozzle. A spraying angle of an upper sterilization nozzle and an upper washing nozzle is configured so that a sprayed liquid hits against the cover member at a position equal to or higher than a prescribed height according to height of vegetable, and the plural cover members are arranged along a conveyor transport direction. Each cover member is restricted in movement in a first direction along a horizontal direction to the base, and when each cover member moves in a second direction crossing the first direction, the cover member can open a surrounding space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
