PURPOSE: To secure surely retainability of a steering wheel at the time of a mode changeover or the like and improve steerability, by providing an accessory switch for automatic transmission travel mode changeover or the like, at a lever main body operation portion provided on the outer periphery surface of the lever main body.
CONSTITUTION: A lever main body 66 which is capable of selecting a travel range is equipped for a shift lever 18 to conduct the changeover operation of the travel range of an automatic transmission which is provided on the outer periphery side surface of a steering column 58. In addition, an operation portion (fin) 68 to operate the lever main body 66 is provided on the outer periphery surface of the lever main body 66, and an accessory switch to conduct the travel mode changeover of the automatic transmission or the like is provided at the operation portion 68. As a result, an operator can conduct operation of the accessory switch 74 under the condition of a steering wheel being held by the operator. As a result, the retainability of the steering wheel at the time of the automatic transmission mode changeover or the like is secured surely.
