At least a first value based on a relative speed between a self-vehicle and a front target and a second value based on a relative acceleration between the self-vehicle and the front target are calculated, and whether the first value and the second value exceed a threshold is determined by a determination unit. When it is determined that the first value and the second value exceed the threshold by the determination unit, and when the driving support of the self-vehicle is performed by a driving support unit, the quantity of intervention of the driving support is increased further, when the first value and the second value exceed the threshold than when either the first value or the second value exceeds the threshold. Thus, it is possible to attain driving support for preventing collision between the self-vehicle and the front target according to the degree of risk of collision.
