Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an on-vehicle door operating system for automatically opening and closing a door from operating inadvertently when the weight of the door is increased by, e.g., snow.
SOLUTION: Braking is effected by operating a drive mechanism 3 intermittently should a back door 1 fall after the door is converted from a condition in which it is automatically operated by the drive mechanism 3 to a non-driven condition in which it can be operated manually.
