Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To issue a out-of-the-lane preventing alarm which is natural, easy to use and practical by reflecting the intention of a driver.
SOLUTION: Road and object picture data is obtained by a picture processing part 4 and a road/object detecting part 11 from a picture obtained by a CCD camera 3. When a out-of-the-lane deviation judging part 12 judges out-lane running, a road end judging part 13a generates an alarm at the time of deviating to the outside of the road when its own lane is a lane at the end of the road, a deviating direction lane obstacle judging part 13b generates an alarm when it is possible to collide with an obstacle in a lane in a deviating direction. An own lane width judging part 13c suppresses the alarm when the deviation from the lane is unavoidable because a lane width is small and an anterior obstacle judging part 13d suppresses an alarm when the deviation from the lane to avoid an anterior obstacle.
