Abstract:
To provide means for providing situation recognition and collision avoidance.SOLUTION: Vehicle monitoring uses three-dimensional (3D) information of an area adjacent to a vehicle to visually highlight an object closer to the vehicle than a threshold distance. A vehicle monitoring system 100 includes a 3D scanner 110 for scanning the area adjacent to the vehicle and providing a 3D model including space constitution of an object located in a scanning area 102. The vehicle monitoring system further includes an electronic display 120 for displaying a part of the scanning area and visually highlighting the object in a display area located closer than the threshold distance from the vehicle by using the 3D model.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
