Abstract:
To provide a vertical melting furnace capable of producing and discharging a molten substance without stagnation by increasing the amounts of consumption of a fuel such as cokes and oxygen without successively raising the temperature in the vicinity of a twyer, and provide an air feed method to the vertical melting furnace, and an operation method for the vertical melting furnace.
In a vertical melting furnace in which a high temperature combustion zone 61 is formed at a lower portion in the furnace for melting a substance deposited in the furnace, a flow passage at a twyer 16 for blowing oxygen containing gas into the high temperature combustion zone 61 is divided into inside and outside passages.
