Abstract:

To efficiently carry out earth and soil from a deep vertical shaft 1.

A one-shaft multi-car elevator 2 is provided in the vertical shaft 1 for cargo handling and carrying between a ground part A and an underground bottom part B of the vertical shaft 1. This has two cars 3a and 3b that are arranged vertically in the vertical shaft 1 and can go up and down independently of each other. In the ground part A, a ground side retreat part A2 to which the upper car 3a is retreated during loading to the lower car 3b is provided above a ground side loading level A1 where loading to the cars 3a and 3b is done. In the underground bottom part B, an underground side retreat part B2 to which the lower car 3b is retreated during loading to the upper car 3a is provided below an underground side loading level B1 where loading to the cars 3a and 3b is done.
