Abstract:
To provide a new method and apparatus for screening many polymers such as polypeptide.
The method for producing chemical sequences on a known position of a single substrate surface comprises (1) a step comprising (a) removing a protective group by exposing a selected region of the substrate surface to an irradiation and (b) exposing the region to a selected monomer having a protective group removable by irradiation, wherein the selected monomer bonds to the protective group-removed part of the region, and (2) repetition of the above step by using the selected region and the selected monomer.
