The position of the steel sheet 1 is detected by position detecting sensors 2 and electromagnets 3 are so driven via a driving circuit 7 that the deviation between the detected value and a target value attains 0. The steel sheet 1 is attracted by the electromagnets 3. Consequently, the vibration of the steel sheet 1 is suppressed and the shape thereof is controlled in the position where the position detecting sensors 2 are installed by this control system. The device is provided with a vibration and shape detecting sensor 8 in addition to the constitution described above. The vibration and shape of the steel sheet 1 in the position of wiping nozzles 4 are detected by this sensor and are fed back to the control system.
