Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a visible light response light catalyst having high sensitivity to all the regions of visible light and showing high activity to the photodecomposition of water.SOLUTION: Provided is a visible light region response catalyst device where the surface of a composite plate obtained by combining materials with different conductivities is coated with a visible light region response catalyst mixed and prepared by adding an assistant catalyst obtained by blending one or more kinds selected from metal hydroxides, metal sulfides, metal carbonates and perovskite compounds to the main component of zircon oxide or tantalum oxide, and also provided is a method for decomposing water using the same.
