PURPOSE: To facilitate data input operation by converting data into a voice signal and analyzing it, and collating the vice signal with voice data stored previously in a memory and storing it successively.

CONSTITUTION: A voice signal storage device provided in an electronic wrist watch is constituted as shown in a figure by being equipped with a microphone 5, a speaker 6, a RAM 7 stored with data (telephone number and name), a CPU 9, etc. Then when a telephone number and a name are written in the RAM 7 from a telephone set, a mode selection key and an I/O changeover key S4 are operated to put the wrist watch in input mode through a switch control part 8. An address of the RAM 7 is specified with a data selection/write address specifying key. Then, keys 3a on the telephone set 3 are operated to output a synthetic tone and a digital signal obtained by the conversion of an A/D converting and encoding circuit is compared with voice data in a ROM 14; and the voice data is displayed on a display part 2 while written in the RAM 7 when coincident voice data is obtained.
