Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance detection accuracy of an a posture angle in a walking assist device for assisting walking.SOLUTION: A walking assist device relating to the invention executes: a posture angle calculation processing of calculating a posture angle on the basis of an output value of an acceleration sensor when the walking assist device in a static state, or calculating the posture angle by adding an output value of a gyro sensor to the previously-calculated posture angle when the walking assist device is not in the static state; and assist processing of calculating an assist force to be applied to a joint of a leg part, on the basis of the posture angle calculated in the posture angle calculation processing, and applying the assist force to an actuator provided at the joint of the leg part.
