In a weaving process, warps 8 for a fringe are woven into each of two upper and lower ground woven fabrics 9 and 10 while forming floating parts 11 by jumping over a plurality of ground wefts 4 and 6. Then, the warps 8 for the fringe is cut together with both the ground woven fabrics 9 and 10 at the middle parts of the jumping over and floating parts 11 to form the fringe. Preferably, in order to project only the fringe, the edge parts of the ground woven fabrics 9 and 10 extending in the arrangement direction of the fringe are sewed in an inward bent state.
