To provide a washing cloth that excels in properties of bubbling, soil removing and drying and that is suitable for a body towel or the like, and also to provide a washing towel formed by using the washing cloth.

The washing cloth 2 used for a bath towel is made of a base cloth knitted with the warp 3 and the weft 4, wherein a pattern yarn 5 for washing is knitted in a round shape with the slack in the intersection between the warp 3 and the weft 4. The pattern yarn 5 is structured by twining three mixed fibers mixedly formed of an ultrafine fiber composed of 0.9 decitex monnofilament and of the pattern yarn fiber. The twist frequency of the ultrafine fiber of the pattern yarn 5 is 4 times/inch. In the pattern yarn fiber, a yarn is used that is composed of polylactic acid fiber of 2 dtex fineness and twisted into 150 dtex fineness, with the ultrafine fiber mixed 60% relative to the pattern yarn fiber.
